*These line items of electricity consumed are multiplied by a loss factor. When electricity is delivered over a power line, it is normal for a small amount of power to be consumed or lost as heat. Equipment, such as wires and transformers, consumes power before it gets to your home or business. The loss factor (or adjustment factor) accounts for these losses.

Total Loss Factor – Secondary Metered Customer < 5,000 kW 1.0542
Total Loss Factor – Primary Metered Customer < 5,000 kW 1.0437

Cost of Power (Regulated Price Plan) - Effective May 1, 2016
Up to certain threshold $/kWh 0.099
Over threshold $/kWh 0.116

For residential RPP customers the threshold has been set at 600 kilowatt hours during the summer season (May to October) and 1000 kilowatt hours during the winter season (November to April). The threshold for non-residential customers that are eligible under the RPP will remain at 750 kilowatt hours per month.

These Cost of Power (Regulated Price Plan) rates and thresholds are set by the Ontario Energy Boad and are subject to change.
Cost of Power (Time Of Use) - Effective May 1, 2016
Off Peak $/kWh 0.0870
Mid Peak $/kWh 0.1320
On Peak $/kWh 0.1800

TOU billing divides a consumer’s electricity consumption into three different time periods; on-peak, mid-peak and off-peak. Each time period has a corresponding rate that will be charged for electricity used during that time. On-peak electricity rates are the highest, off-peak electricity rates are the lowest and mid-peak rates fall somewhere in between. While weekends and holidays are always off-peak, TOU periods for weekdays change seasonally and are subject to change
